Oliver is an experienced communications, engagement and change management expert with over 17 years’ NHS experience, including eight years as Communications and Engagement Director.  He led a successful reconfiguration exercise in south east London (winning the annual DH communications leadership award), including the subsequent Independent Reconfiguration Panel (IRP) review and passing of the four reconfiguration tests.

Oliver is currently the South East CSU’s Partner for Organisational Development and Engagement and was the programme lead for the Patient and Public Participation and Patients in Control programmes in London and Midlands and East in 2014/15. Oliver brings experience of managing local issues whilst understanding the broader political context and how to ensure that patient engagement is an enabler to better decision-making by the NHS.

Jill’s wide professional experience of engagement includes leading public and patient engagement on reconfigurations and service redesign.  Jill has a strong background in community engagement, with nine years’ experience working for the voluntary sector, supporting patient and public involvement forums across six London boroughs and establishing and supporting local involvement networks.

Jill has recently led the delivery of our Public and Patient Participation and Patients in Control programmes in London, together with developing and implementing best practice models for ensuring Patient and Public Voice has a high impact in south east London’s Five-Year Commissioning Strategy Programme (Our Healthier South East London).

Jill is both an expert on finding innovative ways to engage patients collectively (in particular developing partnerships with the voluntary sector to extend reach into hard to reach communities), and has a track record of success in delivering meaningful engagement in shifting circumstances.

Originally a psychiatric nurse then nurse teacher, Julie is currently responsible for providing strategic leadership on participation and insights within and across organisations and services. She has advanced level knowledge and experience of promoting and embedding a person-centred culture, working with patients, carers, public and staff to put patients and public at the heart of the way services are commissioned and delivered.

Her specialist skills include: designing and delivering leadership and development programmes; leading on large scale engagement and insight-gathering programmes; creating and applying innovative engagement techniques; qualitative and market research; teaching and facilitation; organisational development; team and individual coaching.

Sara Warner brings over 25 years’ experience and expertise in engaging local communities. In particular she has 11 years’ experience at a strategic level in the NHS, leading on the cultural change necessary to realise a patient-led health and social care system, working for both the regional Strategic Health Authority and local commissioners across the South East.  Advising both the Department of Health and local organisations she has established: best practice performance frameworks, successfully led strategic reconfiguration programmes, measured patient experience and helped establish meaningful engagement and involvement of patients, the public and all stakeholders in service improvement.

In previous roles, she built a strong track record in community development and regeneration, where for 12 years she led influential programmes of community engagement and co design leading to the successful implementation of regeneration programmes in Liverpool, Salford, Nottingham and beyond.  She has delivered training and development to CCG governors, PCT non-executive directors, clinical leaders, commissioners, NHS staff, patient representatives, community groups, activists, and youth leaders.

Fiona is a senior engagement professional, with particular expertise in delivering engagement programmes with commissioners and supporting the direct involvement of patients in strategy development. Fiona has proven experience in supporting formal public consultations. Currently she is Patient and Public Voice Project Manager for the Our Healthier South East London programme.
